"If you could imagine an unimaginably large Kagamimochi (a large white rice cake used as New Year offering to gods) with an average thickness of 2,100 meters and an area approximately 6 times the size of Japan, that would be the glacier icecap of Greenland. It is made of ice formed by the compacting pressure of snow falling since the ancient geologic time."
