ダンス作品OPAL LOOPのための人工霧舞台装置。舞踏家トリシャ・ブラウン（米）による美術家との共同制作シリーズ第２作。背景に沸き上がる雲、舞台に漂いダンサーと共に踊る雲、ダンサーをのみ込む霧。舞台を埋め尽くして客席へと押し寄せる霧。対流を逆転させて瞬時に霧を晴らす技術、熱力学と流体力学の応用で気流を制御しノズルのON／OFFで霧を含んだ気塊の量や動きを操作する方法など、屋内用の数々の手法をE.A.T.の協力により開発した。

Trisha Brown Company Performance 1980/81
A stage of fog commissioned by Trisha Brown for her dance work OPAL LOOP, the scond of her collaboration series with visual artists. Clouds culminating, tumble down and dance with the dancers. A surf of fog rolls forward across the stage and the dancers disappear in fog. Reaching the audience, the fog is retracted from the stage by reversing the convection. Many techniques of controlling the fog in a closed environment by combining thermodynamic and aerodynamic means as well as on/off control of pumps were developed through this project with the assistance of E.A.T.
